Lecture "Machine Learning for Medical Applications"
Prof. Dr. Heike Leutheuser from the Chair of Ambient Assisted Living and Medical Assistance Systems at the University of Bayreuth will give a lecture titled "Machine Learning for Medical Applications" as part of the Lecture Series on AI in Science and Society on June 6, 2025, from 14:15 to 15:45 in room H27 (GW II).
Abstract: Concepts from machine learning, data science, and biomedical signal processing have been shown to provide efficient and powerful tools for a wide range of medical applications. In this talk, I will briefly discuss this topic using wearable computing applications in eHealth as an example. On the other hand, I will present recent work on improving prenatal care with smart sensors, diabetes management, and chronic wound assessment.
