Prof. Dr. Heike Leutheuser vom Lehrstuhl für Ambient Assisted Living und Medizinische Assistenzsysteme der Universität Bayreuth wird als Teil der "Lecture Series on AI in Science and Society" am 06.06.2025 von 14:15–15:45 Uhr in H27 (GW II) einen Vortrag zum Thema "Machine Learning for Medical Applications" halten.

Abstract: Concepts from machine learning, data science, and biomedical signal processing have been shown to provide efficient and powerful tools for a wide range of medical applications. In this talk, I will briefly discuss this topic using wearable computing applications in eHealth as an example. On the other hand, I will present recent work on improving prenatal care with smart sensors, diabetes management, and chronic wound assessment.
