Vortrag "Enhancing, Not Replacing: Human-AI Interaction in Writing Tools for Augmented Creativity"

Tim Zindulka vom Lehrstuhl für Mobile Intelligent User Interfaces der Universität Bayreuth wird als Teil der "Lecture Series on AI in Science and Society" am 27.06.2025 von 14:15–15:45 Uhr in H27 (GW II) einen Vortrag zum Thema "Enhancing, Not Replacing: Human-AI Interaction in Writing Tools for Augmented Creativity" halten.

Abstract: As AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs) continue to evolve, the ways we interact with them must also advance. Rather than replacing human creativity, these systems offer opportunities to augment and enhance it. In the context of writing tools, this means designing interfaces that empower users to collaborate with AI in meaningful and intuitive ways. In this talk, we explore the evolving landscape of human–LLM interaction, from prompting and prompt engineering to a more direct way of working with AI, and touch on novel interaction modes for mobile devices. A concrete application example illustrates the potential of these approaches to rethink long-standing interface designs by integrating AI from the ground up.
